• Reduced normalized emissions of greenhouse gases by more than 50% over the previous five years. This information was published in the annual Global Climate Protection Plan addressing AMD’s commitments, goals, and strategies for reducing impacts on global warming
• Globally, employees volunteered more than 16,000 hours, donated more than 1,200 units of blood, and AMD contributed more than $3 million in corporate grants for education and basic needs initiatives in local communities where AMD operates worldwide
• Implemented dozens of Learning Labs in high-growth markets as part of AMD’s 50x15 initiative for digital inclusion, which is aimed at connecting half of the world’s population to the Internet by 2015. In these labs, people learn how technology, coupled with the right business strategy, can help address the unique challenges they face in their regions
