Processors Support About AMD
Oak Hill Neighbors
Working with Our Neighbors

AMD's move has garnered community support from businesses, neighborhood associations, and thousands of Austin citizens. The Oak Hill Association of Neighborhoods (OHAN) strongly endorses AMD's move. Bringing jobs closer to housing is a goal that has been cited by the Envision Central Texas group, among others, as key to Austin's long-term sustainability.

The growth rate in Oak Hill is substantially faster than Austin as a whole. The Lantana tract, where AMD will build its new campus, has seen rapid growth since the SOS ordinance was enacted in 1992 and before AMD announced its new campus plans. During this time there has been a 171% growth in population and a 240% growth in households.

"AMD has been a good neighbor to Austin for many years. Now they want to bring their community-oriented operations to Oak Hill. All of us will benefit. The residents of Oak Hill have spoken and we want this project. We are saying "yes" to a robust, pedestrian and environmentally friendly community." - Bruce Perrin, President Oak Hill Association of Neighbors
